Would you like to apply your software skills to an important problem and help to make communities safer?

Are you looking for a role in a tight knit team with clear priorities and vision?

Would you like to develop innovative solutions to well defined problems?

Are you looking to get back to the office and be part of a real team working on real problems in a well-balanced environment?

If so, then we’d love to hear from you.

Spectur leads the world in delivering remote presence in areas without mains power or hard-wired comms.  We are at the forefront of technology, utilising edge and cloud AI to negate the need for continuous human intervention. We offer a far more efficient, effective, and flexible solution to the security needs of local governments, communities, businesses, and people. Our customers love our products, and we barely keep up with demand.

We are industry leaders, and proudly Australian owned, operated, and manufactured.  We work hard to foster a great team atmosphere and company culture. Integrity and open communication drive our work as a team.  There is a well-resourced plan to take our offerings to the next level and roll them out to make communities safer around the world.

You will be comfortable with development in .Net Core and managing Azure resources.  If you have development familiarity with IoT, video, iPhone/Android or other fields adjacent to Spectur’s offering then that is even better.  For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to establish a leadership position within a small but rapidly growing team.  We are well organised but not overburdened with processes.  You will take ownership of your milestones with the freedom to deliver solutions in the best way you see fit.

If this sounds like you, and you’d like to apply, here’s what you’ll be saying yes to:

  • Workshopping business and technical challenges to develop innovative solutions
  • Breaking down your work into clear milestones with well-defined user stories and estimated sub tasks
  • Implementing new features including UI, microservices and third-party integrations
  • Maintaining, scaling, and improving Azure services
  • Providing input and feedback to the company roadmap
  • Actively participating in engineering team planning activities
  • Monitoring costs and looking for opportunities to improve cost effectiveness
  • Spending quality, in-person time with the R&D team in the Perth office (Welshpool)

And here is what we require from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Software Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in C# and .Net Core
  • Minimum 2+ years developing ASP .Net Core services
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks
  • Experience developing real time micro-services infrastructure with a focus on high availability solutions
  • Excellent English skills, both spoken and written
  • Enthusiasm for software innovation and cutting-edge technologies

If this sounds like the role you’ve been looking for then please apply via Seek. Direct phone calls or emails will not be accepted.

We look forward to hearing from you!
