Spectur was pleased to join the 2025 WALGA Local Government Convention 2025 held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 22–24 September in Western Australia. Organised by WALGA, this landmark gathering united elected members, council officers, suppliers and key stakeholders from across the State, providing a rich forum for professional development, networking and collaboration.
The theme of the 2025 convention; “Lean into Legacy”, resonated strongly throughout the event, Spectur’s presence underscored our commitment to supporting local governments in building resilient, future-focused operations and community outcomes. From the supplier exhibition to breakout sessions and keynote presentations, the convention offered a dynamic platform for innovation, exchange of ideas and meaningful connection.
At the exhibition, Spectur had the opportunity to engage directly with council representatives and industry peers; showcasing solutions and technologies that deliver measurable benefit at local government level. The variety of content; from leadership forums to economic development, shared services and legacy planning, reflected the broad operational and strategic challenges facing councils today.
For Spectur, the convention was more than just attendance, it was an opportunity to listen, learn and contribute. We came away inspired by the conversations, informed by emerging priorities and better equipped to partner with local government in delivering long-term positive outcomes for Western Australian communities. We look forward to building on this momentum and helping support the legacy that local governments are shaping together.
